Substitute Teacher

About the role

The Crystal Lake School District 47 seeks Substitute Teachers for the 2022-2023 school year. The primary goal is to ensure that learning continues smoothly when a regular teacher is absent.

Responsibilities

• Effectively implement lesson plans left by the teacher
• Integrate lesson plans into positive learning experiences
• Maintain established standards of classroom management and student behavior
• Ensure a functional, respectful, and productive learning atmosphere
• Provide quality instruction while maintaining professional competence
• Ensure the health and safety of others
• Communicate activities completed in the classroom to the teacher via written reports
• Report to the school office upon arrival to substitute
• Complete various duties as assigned by the teacher or building administration

Requirements

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License or Substitute License
• Bachelor's Degree
• Maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate flexibility, and exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, walking, and lifting equipment or materials

Pay

$140 per day
