Responsibilities

This role covers room with infants (3 months) to preschool age (5 years) children. You will bring humankindness to the workplace each day and be responsible for:

  • Bringing a Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated area with two three-semester-hour early childhood education college courses, or equivalent experience, to the role.
  • Leading and supervising a team of caregivers and educators.
  • Developing and implementing educational programs for children.
  • Assessing and documenting the developmental progress of children.
  • Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Collaborating with parents and other caregivers to support the holistic development of children.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be teacher qualified in Colorado by one of the specified options.
  • Pass the Central Registry Inquiry, Colorado Bureau of Investigation fingerprint check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint check.
  • Have a current Colorado Level 1 credential and at least 3,640 hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A current Colorado Level 1 credential and at least 3,640 hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual.
  • Experience in a childcare setting, preferably with infants and preschool-aged children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of child growth and development principles.

Skills

While not required, having the following skills would be beneficial:

  • Experience with technology and software used in childcare settings.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Pay

The posted compensation range of $18.00 - $27.77 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Varies 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
