Substitute Teacher

Day-to-day substitute: $225/day; $37.50/hour. Long-term substitute: $279/day; $46.50/hour. An assignment becomes long-term on the 21st consecutive school day in the same assignment.

Requirements

• Valid California 30-Day Emergency Substitute Permit OR
• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential / Education Specialist Instruction Credential OR
• Meets requirements for a CA 30-Day Emergency Substitute Permit (details)

Required Attachments

• Copy/screenshot of current, valid California Teaching Credential/Substitute Permit from the CTC website
• Copy of CBEST test result or equivalent (more info)
• Copy of official transcripts
• Résumé
• Three (3) letters of recommendation (dated within the last two years)
