Responsibilities

- Student Learning: Take responsibility for students’ learning progress, ensuring it meets or exceeds the School’s high standards. Actively develop solutions, seek peer and leader support, and utilize school resources as needed.
- Teaching and Assessment: Plan and deliver engaging, measurable lessons using school-provided curricular materials or your own designs. Administer regular formative assessments to tailor instruction to students' needs.
- Culture and Classroom Management: Model and communicate behaviors aligned with the School’s high expectations and caring climate. Apply rules consistently, use preventive discipline, and supervise students effectively.
- Teamwork and Professional Development: Collaborate with peers, attend professional development sessions, participate in planning meetings, and engage in professional learning communities (PLCs).
- Special Needs and ELL Students: Work with special education and ELL staff to implement programs and comply with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Hold or be pursuing New Jersey Department of Education certification to teach Math at the middle school level (CE, CEAS, or Standard certificate).
