Substitute Teacher

About the role

Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is seeking PA certified teachers to serve in a substitute capacity across IU8 operated classrooms located throughout our service regions of Bedford, Blair, Cambria, and Somerset Counties.

Requirements

PA teaching certification is required. Current COVID-19 conditions require all substitutes serving in an IU8 operated classroom to follow the health and safety standards established by IU8.

Pay

Substitute teachers are paid a daily rate (7.5 hours) of $100.00.

Schedule

Substitute teachers working on a day-to-day basis may identify the region(s) of interest/preference for substituting in IU8 operated classrooms.
