Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities

• Carry out lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
• Perform duties such as recess duty, bus duty, and car duty (as scheduled)
• In Middle and Upper School, conduct lessons, advance classes with teacher permission, take attendance, and report to the appropriate person
• Create a pleasant classroom environment and maintain order at all times
• Email the sub coordinator about any issues that arise
• If needed, share notes with the teacher about the day's progress, including coverage of planned material

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in any field
• Show excellent communication skills
• Be willing to work with multiple teachers in a single day
• Submit a formal BCI/FBI background check after completing an interview
