SUBSTITUTE TEACHER AIDES

About the role

Itinerant position assisting with classroom activities across all Iroquois Central Schools locations.

Responsibilities

• Assists with classroom activities as directed by teacher
• Works with individual students as directed by teacher
• Assists students with arrival and departure
• Accompanies student(s) when going to another part of the building when necessary
• Assists teacher and/or Program Supervisor with documenting student progress
• Provides one-on-one and/or small group reinforcement instruction when necessary
• Helps prepare and keep supplies and materials in order
• Assists and/or supervises free play, both indoors and outdoors
• Assists with fire/emergency evacuation plans, field trips, and Specials (e.g. Art, Music, PE, Library, etc.)

Pay

$15.00 per hour

All regular and substitute employees must be fingerprinted by the State Education Department.
