Substitute Teacher Aide

About the Role

Assist students with their transition throughout the building, monitor students during reading instruction, meet with students at the bus before and after school, and monitor students for toileting needs.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to establish good relationships and get along with children; maintain order and enforce school regulations
• Ability to get along with teachers, administrators, and staff
• Good power of observation; dependability; neat personal appearance; tact; courtesy; and good judgment
• Prior experience caring for students with disabilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; OR
• Four (4) years experience in the care and supervision of children; OR
• An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of the above options

Pay

$15.00 per hour

Schedule

• Itinerant location, on-call district-wide
• Part-time, regular substitute position
• Hours vary by school building, first shift only
