About the role
Nassau BOCES is seeking substitute Teacher Aides for various programs across the Department of Special Education. This is a non-competitive Civil Service position.
Responsibilities
- Support the teacher in implementing specialized programs to meet individual student goals and needs
- Provide instructional support and classroom organization
- Collect data and assist in all tasks of daily living and behavior modification
- Assist with daily living skills, which may include feeding, toileting, and mobility
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Experience with students with disabilities is highly desired
Pay
As per contract.
