Responsibilities

• Prepares and portions food
• Operates different types of equipment in preparation of food
• Prepares serving line
• Serves food
• Collects payment for meals, operates cash register/computer
• Assists with collecting funds for prepaid meals
• Assists with record keeping
• Stocks pantry and cold storage with food and supplies
• Participates in daily clean-up of kitchen, equipment, and utensils
• Assists in counting funds, making deposits
• Attends work daily and is engaged and on task
• Performs related work as assigned
• Must be able to travel to different schools on an as needed basis

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to follow directions, interest in preparing and working with food
• Ability to do simple mathematical functions
• Interest in operating food service equipment
• Willingness to work with currency and operate cash register
• Ability to work at speed necessary to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate and get along with students, staff and co-workers
• Must be able to work in a warm environment, be on your feet for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be 18 years or older
