About the role
The Substitute School Nurse is responsible for providing emergency care and administering medications as needed in accordance with school policies and procedures. This position requires a current Indiana teaching license and a valid RN license.

Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical attention to students during emergencies
- Administer prescribed medications according to doctor’s orders and school policy
- Document all incidents and treatments in student health records
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student health issues

Requirements
- Current Indiana teaching license
- Valid RN license
- First aid and CPR certification

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience working in a school setting is a plus

Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Knowledge of pediatric health care
