Substitute School Nurse

About the role

This position is located at EPSD124 different school locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to students in a school setting.
• Drive to various school locations as needed.
• Manage common childhood illnesses and chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, seizures, and insulin use.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members.
• Use computer systems to manage patient records and other tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Valid Professional Education License endorsed in School Nursing preferred.
• Completion of a First Aid and CPR program.
• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current practices for common childhood illnesses and chronic diseases.
• Ability to drive to various school locations.
