Substitute School-Based Behavior Technician

About the Role

As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to provide 1:1 support or classroom assistance at various grade levels, including Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. The schedule will be dependent on the daily needs of the district.

Duties

• Conduct services based upon IEP goals
• Collaborate and seek guidance from case supervisors or assigned BCBA to ensure best practice with implementation of services
• Implement behavior support plans as provided by your Case manager or BCBA
• Maintain accurate and timely records of client's performance via data collection and clinical notes
• Provide parent education as directed by your Case manager or BCBA
• Engage in excellent communication skills with your Case manager or BCBA
• Assist with toileting procedures as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience working with children with Mild/Moderate and/or Moderate/Severe disabilities or related treatments or experience working with children with behaviors within a classroom setting
• Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit our clients
• Be highly flexible and agile (we are living and working in a very dynamic time right now)
