Substitute Paraprofessional

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of a paraprofessional at Union Gap School include assisting teachers in the classroom, supporting students with special needs, and providing additional instruction as needed. Duties may also include preparing materials, maintaining classroom order, and assisting with extracurricular activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passing background check

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience working with children
• Knowledge of special education requirements
