Substitute Nurse

Position Summary

Conducts school health services including screening for physical examinations, immunizations, hearing and vision tests, and dental clinics. Administers medications according to school board policy and refers students who are in need of medical and dental care.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse Licensed in Alaska
• Valid Alaska driver's license required

Compensation

These are as-needed substitute positions working where needed throughout the Juneau School District to fill in when the regular nursing staff is out. The rate of pay is $29.04 per hour.
