Substitute Instructor, Barbering, Clarksville

About the role

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is seeking a part-time Substitute Instructor for the Evening Barbering program at the Clarksville Campus.

Responsibilities

• Substitute instructors serve on an as-needed basis, sometimes with little advance notice.
• Instruct students according to the teaching outline, using methods of individualized and group instruction, lecture, and demonstration.
• Ensure student training is conducted utilizing all appropriate safety measures.
• Teach classes in-person at the Clarksville Campus.

Requirements

• Barbering High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma from accredited Barbering program preferred.
• Current, active Tennessee Barbering Instructor license.
• Minimum of three years of Barbering experience.
• Teaching, training, or management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety/sanitation procedures in the instructional area.
• Willingness and availability to work between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on weekdays.
