Substitute Infant Toddler Teacher

About the role

The Hermitage Club has a licensed Childcare Center. The Hermitage Club Childcare provides a high-quality experience for the children of our members and guests, focusing on fun, ski mountain related activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom activities, including indoor play, mealtimes, storytime and rest.
• Build relationships with parents through daily updates about their child's routine, development, and experiences.
• Help bring children outside daily. Teaching children the fun of winter sports starts with the correct clothing. A daily activity focusing on outdoor preparation will bring us outside even if we only discover that it is too cold to play outside.
• Help to maintain a healthy and clean classroom environment.

Requirements

• At least twenty (18) years of age.
• Able to comprehend basic written format.
• High school graduate or has completed a GED.
• Pediatric First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certifications are required (training can be arranged).
• Availability: Must be available Saturdays in January and February; some shifts available upon hire, more as reservations are made.
• No snow days; reliable transportation required.
• Physical demands: Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stay calm during one-on-one interactions with upset children.
