Substitute Educator - Robla School District
About the role
Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.
Responsibilities
- Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
- Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
- At least 6 months of experience working with children under 13 years of age in a group setting (preferred).
- Complete two years of higher education study (48 units) or obtain an AA degree or higher or pass a formal District academic assessment test.
- Must be 18 years or older with a Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field (preferred).
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
Qualifications
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician).

Pay
$20-22 /per hour (based on education and experience)
Schedule
2026/2027 School Year; ON CALL 1:30pm-6:00pm Monday Friday (hours may vary per site)
Location
Candidates should be open to any of the schools we partner with in the Robla School District. Please note we cannot guarantee preferred school assignments as our needs are based on the needs of the programs we serve.
