About the role
Substitute Cook needed for School Food Service in the Sparta, NJ area. This position is based on an on-call, as-needed basis.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, day shift
- No weekends or holidays
- Summers off
Responsibilities
- Food preparation, both hot and cold meals
- Following menus and recipes according to the NSLP guidelines
- Adhere to all safety and food handling procedures
- Use of personal protective equipment at all times
- Stocking
- Serving
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment at all times
Requirements
- Cooking experience required; K-12 experience a plus
- Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools
- Must be willing to travel within a 25-mile radius of the Sparta/Vernon, NJ areas
