Substitute Cook/Cashier

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
• Required to frequently stand for prolonged periods, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Able to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
• Knowledge of cooking procedures and equipment helpful.

Specific Duties

• Performs tasks assigned by the lead cook and food service director.
• Prepares food according to recipe using proper procedures.
• Operates equipment and performs work tasks in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Cleans and maintains school food service equipment and facilities.
• Serves food using proper sanitation.
• Maintains positive relations with students and staff in the serving line.
• Makes suggestions for improving food quality or general operations of the school food service operation.
• Regular attendance
• Other duties as assigned.
