About the role

The Substitute Assistant Teacher supports teachers with childcare responsibilities within a play-based curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Assists regular staff with childcare in a play-based curriculum.
• Works with children ranging from 6 weeks to 54 months.
• Assists in supervising children, participating in play, and engaging children.
• Participates in some light housekeeping.
• Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Some experience working with children. Completion of required training including training in universal precautions. Maintains pediatric First Aid/CPR training certification.

Qualifications

High school graduate.
