Substation Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Substation Engineering Manager to join our Power sector team. This role involves developing partnerships with Project Managers, working closely with technical leadership, and leading multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Develops a partnership with Project Managers
• Works closely with the technical leadership team
• Develops and implements a project execution plan for the technical aspect of projects
• Sets project tasks and provides technical guidance to project team members
• Supports the technical aspect of scope, schedule, and budget
• Coordinates and/or performs quality checks and reviews for all project deliverables
• Works independently and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise one or more Project Engineers, EIT’s, or CADD/Designers
• Participates in project reviews as needed

Requirements

• Master's degree
• PMP certification
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 7 years related experience
• Minimum 2 years project management experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• MS Office and MS Project experience is required
• Demonstrated leadership skills

Skills

Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, utilize teams in different locations, identify and develop specific technical expertise, attend training and seminars, develop technical papers and/or presentations, participate in project reviews.
