Responsibilities
- Lead Construction Projects: Oversee all aspects of construction projects from initiation to completion, emphasizing a culture of excellence in safety and quality standards
- Cookise Project Completion: Take charge of project coordination and ensure timely completion within specified parameters of cost, quality, and schedule objectives
- Manage Client Relationships: Foster strong on-site customer relationships by effectively coordinating with clients and subcontractors to fulfill project deliverables
- Set Deadlines and Monitor Progress: Establish project deadlines, allocate responsibilities, and closely monitor progress, providing regular reports to leadership
- Provide Team Leadership: Offer guidance and direction to project team members, ensuring cohesive project management processes and directing the overall work of the team
- Ensure Safety and Quality Compliance: Collaborate with customers and Babcock Power Safety and Quality personnel to uphold safety and quality standards throughout project execution
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Five plus years in substation electrical construction, with at least 3 years in direct supervision
- Trade licensing preferred; or willing to obtain
- Familiarity with commercial terms, substation construction practices, and legal standards
- Comprehensive understanding of installation, maintenance, and repair processes in substations
- Ability to convey information effectively
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite for project management tasks
- Maintain quality standards while handling high work volumes
- Previous experience in electrical project management is a plus
Qualifications
- The construction managers are expected to travel to and stay near the construction site.
