About the role
Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408
We are looking for a Substation Construction Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2).
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and enforce safety protocols on the job site, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed effectively.
- Perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audit construction quality, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications.
- Keep detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections.
- Lead and manage construction, including monitoring tasks, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts.
- Maintain knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings.
- Understand safety regulations and practices, including the ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, ensuring the project stays on track.
- Familiar with concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, GSU containment pits.
- Work with EPC to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders.
- Perform material procurement and material takeoffs.
- Review project after completion and report successes, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work safely near equipment energized at hazardous voltage levels.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Turn over and support commissioning efforts through energization.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory/team leader role with demonstrated project leadership and management abilities.
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $58.00/hr. to $63.00/hr.
