Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology OR High School GED with field experience in Power Delivery.
- 3+ years of experience in substation or transmission line engineering and/or estimating.
- Experience with engineering and construction concepts, especially within Power Delivery of high-voltage electric transmission lines.
- Experience managing a high-volume workload while communicating across multidisciplinary teams, both internally and with external clients.
- Create initial project schedules and costs.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and a willingness to learn problem-solving approaches.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Responsibilities
- Learn and understand engineering design and drawing packages.
- Learn and apply design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
- Aide in the development of project scope and estimate creating using learned design requirements and experience.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing while continuing to grow technical expertise.
- Maintain quality of your deliverables and support peer reviews to uphold team standards.
- Lead client discussions on technical scope, provide solutions, and build strong working relationships through consistent communication.
- Drive collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and mentor inexperienced staff.
- Execute project tasks independently within established scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
- Participate in occasional site walks for current projects—less than 5% travel.
