Substance Use Counselor/Counselor Trainee
Description
Certification or license is required ADT, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, LCPC, LCSW, LGADC, or LCADC from the State of Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
- Involves families and significant others in patient’s recovery process whenever possible
- Facilitates, establishes, and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
- Responds, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints
- Develops aftercare plans and discharge plans
- Collaborates with doctors, nurses, and therapists for patients’ therapy and treatment
- Performs other related duties as determined by supervisor
Qualifications
Position requires certification or license from the State of Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
Pay
Salary range: $44,000 – 80,000 annually. Non-exempt, overtime eligible with prior approval. Salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, licensure, and training.
