Substance Use Counselor

About the role

Seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide individual and group counseling, conduct assessments, screenings, referrals, and treatment planning. The role involves delivering case management, coordinating community support services, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and supporting clients in achieving recovery and stability. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and community partners, along with participation in supervision, training, and professional development, is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC credential
• Associate’s degree in human services or related field (bachelor’s preferred)
• Knowledge of addiction and counseling principles
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Experience with justice-involved populations is a plus
