Substance Use Counselor

Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services
- Direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices, and state regulations
- Cook up initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services
- Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment
- Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated
- Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints
- Develop aftercare and discharge plans
- Other related duties as determined by supervisor
Qualifications
- Must hold at least one of the following in the state of Kentucky:Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Clinical Social Worker (CSW)Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA)Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA)
- Prior experience working with individuals affected by chemical dependency
- Demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward the patient population
- Successful completion of a drug screening and criminal background check is required
