Substance Use Counselor

About the role

AppleGate Recovery is an addiction treatment program dedicated to providing medically-supervised services for adults across various modalities and settings. As the largest specialty organization addressing the opioid crisis, we aim to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices and state regulations;
• Coordinate all services throughout treatment;
• Conduct initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services;
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessment;
• Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated;
• Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints;
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans;
• Will provide support to 4 other locations/clinics;
• Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana licensure - LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LRC;
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals;
• Demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population;
• Ability to collaborate with compassionate and knowledgeable counseling team members;
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
