About the Role

A Behavioral Health Technician serves as a vital link between clients and the clinical team, helping to create a safe, supportive environment for individuals in recovery. This is an opportunity to begin or grow your career in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients
  • Assist with admissions, orientations, and intake processes
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication during client admissions
  • Complete accurate and timely shift reports and checklists
  • Facilitate orientation groups and support client engagement
  • De-escalate situations and assist clients experiencing challenges, including those leaving treatment AMA/ACA
  • Maintain awareness of client whereabouts through regular headcounts
  • Monitor family visits to ensure safety and compliance
  • Support medical staff during medication pass (if applicable)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all facilities and common areas
  • Participate in scheduled staff meetings and trainings
  • Exercise sound judgment and seek support when needed
  • Protect client confidentiality in compliance with all federal, state, and organizational privacy standards

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience in the mental health field or related college coursework (preferred)
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a safe environment
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Valid Driver’s License
