Substance Abuse Counselor - Bilingual

The position is based in City of Industry, CA at the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center, a 24/7 outpatient program providing rapid mental health assessment, crisis intervention, medication support, walk‑in services, and care for up to 12 adults (18+) and 6 adolescents (13‑17) for stays of up to 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop client treatment plans in conjunction with the client and treatment team.
• Provide group, individual counseling and other supportive services appropriate to the participant’s recovery process.
• Facilitate education and awareness workshops on topics appropriate to recovery.
• Make appropriate referrals to contribute to client’s recovery in accordance with agency policy.
• Place professional documentation in participant records in a timely manner.
• Assist clients in recovery and exit planning, and provide telephone or other follow‑up services for clients leaving the program.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (verbal and written).
• Valid California Driver’s License.
