About the role
The Bilingual Substance Use Counselor will provide counseling services to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Responsibilities include facilitating therapy sessions, conducting assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions
- Conduct intake and assessment evaluations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
- Maintain client records and progress notes
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Valid California Substance Abuse Counselor II license or eligible to obtain within 3 months
- Experience working with individuals in substance use recovery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
