This role is the liaison between client and clinical team, prioritizing a safe environment for individuals in recovery. It offers an opportunity to start or grow your career in behavioral health.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain healthy relationships with patients.
- Assist with the admission process, including new patient admissions, orientation procedures, and schedules.
- Maintain constant and clear communication during client intake.
- Complete timely and accurate shift reports and checklists at the end of each shift.
- Facilitate orientation groups or meetings with patients.
- De-escalate and assist with patients leaving treatment AMA/ACA and other patient-related issues.
- Conduct regular patient location checks (que checks) to ensure awareness of all patients on property.
- Monitor family visits to ensure patient safety.
- Assist the medical department during "medication pass" times, if applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness of all properties and office spaces, ensuring general areas are free of clutter.
- Participate in all staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Exercise sound professional judgment and seek assistance as needed to manage patients effectively.
- Protect patient privacy in accordance with organizational policies, federal and state laws, and professional standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience in the mental health field (or corresponding college coursework).
- Ability and desire to prioritize patient safety at all times.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certification.
