Substance Abuse & Addiction Counselor (Locum Tenens)

Role: Outpatient LMHC specializing in behavioral health and addiction care for adult patients. Key Responsibilities: Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, typically 1 to 1.5 hours each, with a caseload of 2-8 assessments daily. May assist with therapy sessions, especially for SUD and dual-diagnosis cases. Work occurs during day shifts in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment alongside case managers, therapists, and behavioral health technicians. Qualifications & Skills: Experience with behavioral health, addiction, SUD, and dual-diagnosis populations is preferred. No prescriptive authority or board certification required. Ability to perform detailed assessments and work independently in an outpatient setting. Key Duties & Support: Complete assessments, support patients with behavioral health and addiction issues, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Support staff includes case managers and therapists, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Additional Details: Part-time (24 hours), on-site role, serving adult patients without call requirements or government employment considerations.
