Key Duties

  • LVC Training Analysis: Conduct training analysis and provide advanced virtual solutions focused on the integration of IW LVC training capabilities and scenarios across Fleet platforms.
  • Readiness Optimization: Identify LVC training opportunities to integrate with other platforms, units, Joint DoD communities, and warfare development centers to optimize Carrier Strike Groups (CSGs), Amphibious Readiness Groups (ARGs), and Surface Action Groups (SAGs).
  • Tactics & Experimentation: Align advanced IW training across the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP) timeline. Utilize Fleet experimentation results to guide LVC training efforts within Fleet Maritime Operational Centers (MOC).
  • Gap Analysis: Assess Post-Deployment Reports to identify, track, and recommend virtual training solutions to mitigate critical IW LVC deficiencies.
  • Strategic Planning: Support the development of Science and Technology (S&T) plans and experimentation strategies to validate new or revised IW LVC effects.
  • Community Engagement: Actively participate in the Fleet, research labs, and academic communities to monitor disruptive technologies. Independently attend select conferences, symposia, and working groups (averaging up to 10 off-site events per quarter).
  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive Trip Reports and Monthly Activity Reports detailing program milestones, task statuses, and upcoming events.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Clearance: Must possess a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 18 years of Information Warfare (IW) experience within the Department of the Navy (DoN), including prior military service as an O-3 / CWO / E-7 or above.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven operational understanding of major IW mission areas: Integrated Fires (IF), Battlespace Awareness (BA), Assured Command and Control (AC2), and Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMW).
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE), Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), and serious gaming applications. Thorough comprehension of IW readiness across DOTMPLF.
  • Education: Associate, Bachelor of Arts (BA), or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.
  • Equivalency paths: High School Diploma/GED + 4 additional years of experience = Associate Degree; High School Diploma/GED + 8 additional years of experience = Bachelor's Degree.
  • Travel Capability: Willingness to travel routinely. Annual travel expectations include approximately 8 trips to San Diego, CA, 3 trips to Washington, DC, 3 trips to Crane, IN, and 2 trips to Dahlgren, VA.
