Subcontracts Specialist

Primary Responsibilities
- Draft, issue, and execute subcontracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Work Orders (WOs), Amendments, and Change Orders in accordance with company standards
- Ensure commitments are in place prior to starting work or materials being released
- Administer the full subcontract lifecycle, including amendments, change orders, and closeout documentation
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready subcontract files
- Cookordinate redlines between subcontractors, Procurement Director, and Contracts Manager to ensure alignment with company risk standards
- Ensure all subcontract language includes appropriate prime contract flow-down provisions
- Verify subcontractor compliance requirements, including:
- Certifications of Insurance (COIs) through TrustLayer
- Bonds or approved bond waivers
- Prequalification status (CMiC)
- Support invoice validation through GC Pay for all subcontract, WOs and Change Orders
- Enter and manage all subcontracts and WOs in ERP system (CMiC)
- Cookordinate with project teams to maintain accurate commitment values and budget alignment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or contracts within heavy industrial or commercial construction
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (CMiC, SAP, Procore, or similar)
- Strong understanding of construction contract language and risk allocation
- Familiarity with subcontractor prequalification, compliance workflows, and subcontract negotiation and redlining processes with the ability to read, interpret, and negotiate contract language
- Experience with MSA and Work Order structures
- High attention to detail with strong contract accuracy
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
