Subcontract Program Mgr

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Subcontract Program Mgr to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role is focused on managing subcontract execution and supplier ramp activities that support long-term production needs. The position will partner closely with supply chain planning, general procurement, and other cross-functional teams to strengthen sourcing strategies, pricing discipline, and supplier readiness. The ideal candidate will help balance operational execution with risk management and dual-sourcing efforts in a complex defense environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Oversee ramp activities for assigned suppliers
• Manage subcontract execution for funding suppliers
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning and General Procurement
• Validate suppliers' capacity to meet long-term production needs
• Author and negotiate long-term pricing agreements with suppliers
• Support Supply Chain Risk Management activities
• Align dual sourcing activities with production strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; preferred in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations
• 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Subcontracts, and Supply Chain Management
• Demonstrated negotiation skills and strategies
• Experience in new business capture, including proposals
• Proven leadership capability with multi-discipline project teams
• Strong interpersonal skills with a relationship-building focus

Pay

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually
