Summary
The Ash Group is hiring a Subcontract Administrator III (24554) for our client, an innovative aerospace company developing reliable and cost-effective technologies for commercial spaceflight. This is a 4-month contract position working in Kent, WA; Huntsville, AL; or Melbourne, FL (Onsite). We are offering a pay rate up to $80 per hour W2 based on skill set and location.
Role Details
- Compensation: $80/hr W2 - depending on location

Responsibilities
- Manage cradle‑to‑grave procurement activities, including sourcing, quoting, negotiating, ordering, and closing purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Support new product integration by introducing new components and suppliers into the supply base.
- Execute purchasing activities for hardware, components, materials, and services to meet program needs.
- Proactively follow up and track open orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to mitigate risk.
- Serve as an embedded member of cross‑functional integrated product teams, representing supply chain and driving procurement strategy.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing performance, escalations, and corrective actions.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery to achieve best value while ensuring compliance with policies.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the procurement process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or purchasing.
- Aerospace experience (e.g., cryogenic tanks, pressure vessels, large assemblies) is a strong plus.
- Must have experience with MSAs, long-term agreements, and T&M contracts.
- Demonstrated experience managing cradle‑to‑grave procurement.
- Proven ability to follow up, track, and drive supplier deliverables to closure.
- Experience working within cross‑functional teams (IPT environment).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Kent, WA or Florida.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by applicable export control regulations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting new product integration or new product introduction within an SCM organization.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Costpoint).
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and aerospace supplier quality requirements.
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with reporting/tracking tools.
- Prior experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth aerospace or manufacturing environment.
