Substitute Trainer/ Instructor at Arc Broward helps amazing people achieve their goals and live their best lives. You will encourage, educate, and empower participants, get paid to share your own skills and interests, and create a bond with those you support. You will also create an atmosphere of trust and accountability with participants.
Responsibilities
- Create calendars and lesson plans for skills training
- Facilitate classroom instruction
- Cook up guest presentations
- Work closely with Arc Works and Arc Educates team members to ensure seamless support is provided to participants in and outside of the classroom
- Empower participants to strive for economic success and self-sufficiency
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- An associate or bachelor’s degree preferred with a preference for credentials within Special Education, Vocational Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical and drug screen
- Prior experience working with people with disabilities
- 1-3 years of related experience as an educator/trainer
