Key Responsibilities
- Drive engineering changes (Change Notices / Common Change Documents)
- Author deviations (IAA) and manage Plant Evaluation Runs (PER)
- Lead design, development, and validation of hardware and associated software components
- Cook up cross-functional teams to meet program and production timelines
- Influence and align internal stakeholders to approve design and process changes
- Guide Design Release Engineers through the industrialization process
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited university
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive component development
- Working knowledge of automotive electrical architectures (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of electrical component manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to clearly communicate complex engineering concepts to senior leadership
- Vehicle launch experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in automotive component development
- Experience with body controllers, zonal computing, and vehicle access/security systems
- Master of Science degree in Engineering or related field
- Black Belt certification in DFSS or reactive problem-solving methodologies
