About the role

The AZ State School for the Deaf and Blind is seeking individuals who can provide educational support and services to students with hearing and visual impairments. Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized education plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement educational strategies.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and educational plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching license in Arizona.
  • Experience working with students who have hearing and/or visual impairments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
  • Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
