Sub-Assembly (Reader) Technician

Job Purpose

Responsible for the production of a wireless, handheld Reader unit for Pulmonary artery (PA) pressure monitoring. The Technician will be responsible for the assembly and testing of the Reader and Docking Station.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) and perform quality inspection procedures (QIPs) and document results.
  • Assemble and heat stake printed circuit boards (PCBs) into top and bottom housing assemblies.
  • Make custom cable assemblies and assemble them into dock assemblies.
  • Build antenna assemblies with PCBs and ferrite sheets.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Maintain a clean and controlled working environment and participate in 5S activities.
  • Aid in writing manufacturing documentation as needed.
  • Support R&D team as needed.
  • Provide support for other manufacturing product lines as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Experience in the Medical Device field highly desired
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Android/iOS use
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete technical documentation with high level of accuracy
  • Ability to complete tasks and work with minimal supervision after training
  • Ability to communicate well both orally and in written form
  • Ability to lift and handle 25-pound boxes
