Job Details

Responsibilities

• Stuff product into metal forms and put the spring covers on the forms.
• Move up to 900 pounds of product on racks.
• Dump massages and put meat into the stuffer.
• Obtain hams from tanks, label, tipper tie, and hang-on racks.
• Pull netting onto horns.
• Obtain racks, hooks, sticks, forms, and supplies.
• Clear any jams on the tipper tie or sizer.
• Absorb and assist with washing forms.
• Learn and follow all safety procedures.
• Freeze and defrost product; readjust 60-pound stick of meat on rack.
• Maintain clean work area; wash and sanitize room and equipment as needed.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• Able to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Able to perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
• Able to perform any other work as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
• Able to use hands and arms in handling, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating various items.
• Able to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
• Able to use rapid mental/muscular coordination constantly.
• Able to reach high and low levels.
• Able to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
• Able to navigate through confined spaces.
• Able to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.

Preferred Skills

• Machine Operator experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Retail Scanner experience preferred

Qualifications

• 3 months of work history with the same employer
