At Waxing the City, we help our clients look and feel their best — and our Studio Coordinator sets the tone for their entire experience. You are the first hello and the last goodbye, the warm, confident presence that makes our studio feel like nowhere else.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in every guest — create a warm, welcoming first impression, get them checked in, and lead them into their experience.
- Own the checkout and the close — finalize the visit, rebook the next appointment, enroll members in Club Orange, recommend and sell retail, and ask for referrals.
- Run the front desk — answer phones and texts, confirm upcoming appointments, and respond quickly and warmly to every inquiry.
- Keep the day running on time — manage the flow when a guest or Cerologist is running behind, settle waiting guests, and smooth over delays so the experience stays seamless.
- Support the schedule — handle appointment changes and reschedules, and help coordinate coverage when a team member calls out.
- Keep the book full — work a waitlist to fill same-day cancellations and openings, and welcome and convert walk-ins.
- Grow membership and retail — confidently promote Club Orange, Wax Packages, and product, and help win back lapsed members.
- Support the studio — keep the lobby and retail area inviting, and lend a hand with marketing or community events when needed.
Qualifications
- Sales-forward — you’re comfortable asking for the sale and genuinely believe in what you’re offering.
- Warm and welcoming — people feel at ease around you, and you read what a guest needs.
- Calm and organized under pressure — you can juggle a ringing phone, a checkout, and a walk-in without losing your smile.
- A clear, proactive communicator — on the phone, by text, and in person.
- Attention to detail — you catch the little things: an accurate booking, a correctly rung sale, a client note that makes the next visit better.
- Reliable and coachable — you show up, follow through, and welcome feedback.
- Available evenings and weekends, with occasional flexibility for studio events.
