Students Only at FPU: Literacy Initiative Assistant AY26-27

About the Role

This position assists with the administration of several (4-5) after-school activities per semester for the Jaffrey-Rindge school district, leading up to a Literacy Evening event at the schools. Assistants will work with students to support after-school activities as planned in coordination with Literacy Initiative Coordinators and will help supervise and administer activities at the Literacy celebration events.

The majority of work occurs in the late afternoon/early evening for meetings, training, and administration of the after-school events. The role averages 10 hours of work per week based on availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the administration of after-school activities (4-5 per semester).
• Support students during planned after-school activities in coordination with Literacy Initiative Coordinators.
• Supervise and administer activities at Literacy Evening celebration events.

Requirements

• Must be a Federal Work Study eligible student.
• Interest in working with elementary-aged youth and in an educational setting is a plus.
• Open to all majors, not limited to education majors.
• Access to a vehicle is preferred but not required.
• Employment is contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
