Student Worker- Theater

Brief Description

This position will be working in tandem with the Kepler Center Technician and the Assistant Kepler Center Technician to set up, run and tear down various events. The position will also assist with building and painting of sets and props. The position will assist other departments in the Kepler building as needed throughout the semester.

Duties

• Set up, run and tear down various events
• Auxiliary work on building and painting of sets and props
• Assist other departments in the Kepler building as needed

Special Skills Needed

• A working knowledge of hand tools and equipment
• Some theatrical background (preferred but not required)
• Able to lift at least 25 lbs

Requirements

• MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR THE FALL 2026 SEMESTER
• MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS
• UNLESS FIRST-SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED

• Sometimes required to work weekends and evenings
• Reliable transportation is needed
