Student Worker - STUDIOS

This part-time, temporary seasonal position is based at the Augustine Institute home office in Florissant, Missouri, reporting to either the Producer or Senior Producer.

About the role

Student Workers provide administrative and project support to one or more departments, including Studios, Marketing, Product Management, the Office of the President, Academics, Chapel, Facilities, or Café Operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filming set up and take down for various productions.
• Serve as a Production Assistant on set: set dressing, note-taking for directors, craft services, collecting Talent Release Forms, coordinating background talent, children, and extras.
• Provide administrative support: printing, copying, data entry, note-taking, supply management.
• Assist Producers with casting support as needed.
• Contribute writing support, leveraging graduate school learning for scripting and ideation of upcoming projects.
• Perform as an extra on camera during production if asked.
• Provide hospitality and welcome donors or visitors to the Studios Carriage House.
• Handle quality control of Studios content, focusing on podcasts, Dr. Tim Gray’s Daily Reflections, Lectios, Augustine Institute Original Shows, Audio Dramas, and the Amen app.
• Assist with Studios cleaning and upkeep.
• Act as liaison between Studios and Graduate Students for casting extras.
• Assist with promoting casting calls for talent.

Requirements

• Current full-time Augustine Institute on-site student in good standing.
• Love for the Lord, the Catholic Faith, and a servant’s heart.
• Passion for film, audio, and storytelling, with a desire to grow in production craftsmanship.
• Eagerness to be a hands-on member of a fast-paced film studio team.
• Experience with MS365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with Adobe products (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Knowledge of the Augustine Institute mission and products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

Schedule

• Primarily business hours, Monday through Friday.
• Occasional evenings and weekends may be required, depending on filming schedules.
• Involves heavy lifting and long periods of walking or standing.
