Student Worker- Kepler Gallery & Studio Spaces

Brief Description

Assist Visual Arts Coordinator and Kepler Center Technician in the monitoring and maintaining of the Visual Arts studio spaces.

Duties

• Assist with all operations of the Kepler Gallery including installing exhibitions of student work at the close of the fall and spring semesters
• Assist with installing student work at local off campus venues
• Assist with the on-going efforts to maintain a welcoming and visually engaging environment for the Kepler Center community and all who pass through it

Special Skills Needed

• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically must be able to create documents in Word
• Willing to be trained to use Excel spreadsheets at a basic level (not for computation, only for record keeping and generating labels)
• Self motivated and able to follow through on assigned tasks without constant direct supervision
• Working knowledge of the tools and equipment housed in the 2D and 3D studios of the Visual Arts Program

Requirements

• MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR THE FALL 2026 SEMESTER
• MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS
• UNLESS FIRST-SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED
