About the role

This Marketing Internship supports the Marketing Manager with campus dining initiatives while delivering excellent customer service. The position is open to Widener University students; a Marketing major or minor is strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Represent Dining Services with a friendly, professional, and engaging attitude while providing excellent customer service
• Create and manage marketing content, including social media posts, photography, video, and promotional materials
• Develop graphic and marketing materials using Canva
• Support meal-plan sales initiatives
• Perform general office administration duties
• Work independently in an autonomous environment while adhering to all workplace policies and procedures
• Prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively, demonstrating strong organization skills, creativity, and attention to detail
• Duties may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs

Requirements

• Interest in sales and/or marketing
• Desire to actively engage with customers to promote and grow meal plans and dining services
• Ability to work well independently and with a team
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills with managers, customers, and parents
• Experience with social media, photography, and video
• A flexible schedule that includes both day and night shifts is a plus

Qualifications

• Enjoys having fun at work while demonstrating a competitive sales nature
• Knowledge of meal plans and the overall dining service program

Physical demands

• Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
• May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
