Student Worker - Advising & Transfer Center (ATC)

Student worker position at the Advising & Transfer Center (ATC) on the Main Campus in Bowling Green, KY. Pay is $14.00 per hour for 15–20 hours per week. Anticipated employment is August 2026–May 2027, subject to dependability, punctuality, and confidentiality expectations.

About the role

Provide general clerical and customer service duties in support of SKYCTC’s Advising & Transfer Center.

Responsibilities

• Clerical and receptionist duties with customer service role answering questions in person and on the phone
• Assist with maintaining the ATC space, including desk coverage, stocking office supplies, and periodic cleaning of work stations
• Refer to Career Services and Advisors or other student support areas as needed
• Assist with contacting students for appointments as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Submits a completed, current year FAFSA to SKYCTC
• Is a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
• Is credential-seeking in a SKYCTC program of study
• Maintains a GPA of 2.0 or higher and makes Satisfactory Academic Progress
• Maintains enrollment in 6 or more program-applicable credit hours
• Has “unmet need” in the financial aid budget to allow for a federal work-study award
• Consents to state and national pre-employment background checks, per Kentucky State Law

Preferred Qualifications

• Has completed 1 semester at SKYCTC
• Has completed CIT 105, or possessed equivalent technology skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Blackboard, other office technologies)
